Cigars

One of those neat little bad habits that I have picked up in 2007 is the smoking of cigars. Not Garcia-Vegas...not Phillies Blounts, but decent cigars. Not cheap, of course. My favorite is the A. Fuente Hemingway Short Story. I also enjoy the Sancho Panza. A good sit on the porch in the summer or autumn, a lit cigar, cup of coffee or glass of beer and a cigar. There was a point where I was smoking too many of them, had a bit of a sore throat, so I cut down. My favorite activity, however, is driving on the highway and smoking a cigar. And listening to rock and roll on the CD player. What is life but a continuum of wonderful little moments!

Communion

a dear friend, a dear lover and me
a shared glass of bourbon
a moment of sensual bliss
two pairs of gorgeous pursed lips
take part in the sacrament.

[and yet i aspire
for a greater bonding;
not of flesh in bed
but of heart, soul and head.]

but for now...
the bourbon is shared
with two women for whom
i truly deeply care,

and i transcend...

dear lover and dear friend!
